Grilled Sandwiches -

Concept Stages
So I decided to follow in the foot steps
of a great place on Grand Lane, Perth  - Toastface Grillah (http://www.toastfacegrillah.com/), known for their amazing grilled sandwiches with 'off piste' flavour combos, such as Brie, Mozzarella & Raspberry Jam, their concept is to keep things simple - no messing around!
My effort was ok, however the need for a better selection of breads would of been of benefit. Still had to give it a go, best one was the Margarita - Plum Tomatoes, Mozzarella, Basil, with a hint of Garlic.

Grilled Sandwiches are such a simple pleasure to us humans, who wouldn't like toasted bread, melting cheese & some ham. It's the ultimate in modern day comfort food, we all had those toasted sandwich makers, where the crusts turned to rock, the cheese was molten lava & you ended up with small blisters on the roof of you mouth, nowadays it about artisan breads, locally produced cheeses & cured meats.

Grilled Sandwiches will always have a winning formula, where ever you eat them, from a Street food van to a uber posh eatery, it will still bring back memories & possible the small blisters.

After so many years of buying Food & Drink I've decided to share my thoughts, likes & dislikes of Food & Drink.
I have been lucky enough to work for some of London's best companies, where I've had the chance to meet some amazing people over the years who have shared their wealth of knowledge and passion for the food & drink industry.
I have had some amazing meals in great restaurants', some glamorous & expensive, however some of the memorable where the cheaper ones, where the food & drink is  made with so much passion & love.
I will also share my thoughts of food trends, this is only my personal opinion, where I could get it completely wrong, but after being in the industry for well over 15 years, I'd like to hope I have my finger somewhat on the pulse?

So here goes - all comments are always welcome, both positive or negative, I can take it!!
